Ducati 999
The Ducati 999 took over from the Ducati 916, Ducati 996 and the
Ducati 998 range of motorcycles in 2003, and was in production
until 2006. It had great reviews, although some stated the
riding position was a bit ‘off’. It is quite a long and low
bike, very different from its Japanese rivals on the market.
The styling was also questioned, and caused much controversy over
its divisive looks; some, whilst being hailed by some, many heavily
criticized it.
This motorcycle enjoyed great success in the World Superbike
Championship, It is still racing in the World Supers, as the 1098
is pending a review from the FIM about regarding whether it can be
raced or not.
